El Yunque National Rain Forest
El Yunque National Forest (Rain Forest) is the only tropical forest in the U.S National Forest System, spanning 28,000 acres and reaching an elevation of 3,624 feet.
El Yunque Rain Forest base is located 5 minutes by car. El Yunque, which is managed by the United States Forest Service, provides visitors the opportunity to learn about their tropical forest surroundings. Visitors come there to hike, picnic, and swim in cool mountain streams. You can watch 68 types of birds, and admire 50 species of orchids that grow here, or the 150 kinds of ferns and 225 natives tree species. Although many spectaculars sites including the cascading waterfalls and the rivers and trickling streams which collect into gentle pools of rainwater, the greatest excitement of the forest is experienced along the 13 trails that cover 23 miles of incredibly varied terrain. The hiking trails are well maintained and accessible, designed for foot travel only.
What to Bring/Wear: Comfortable clothes, hiking or sturdy walking shoes, hat, sunglasses and sun screen. Don’t forget your camera. Flip flops and sandals are not recommended. Must be in good physical condition.

Flamenco Beach is considered the second most beautiful beach in the world by Discover Channel and by far the most popular beach in Culebra.
Its white sandy beach stretches along the entire bay, you will feel the Caribbean sun everywhere and wonder why you had waited this long. Flamenco is a great place to snorkle, sunbathe, swim, socialize and camp out.
Culebra is a 40 minute Ferry (or 15 minute flight) from Fejardo which is a 15 minute drive from the Villa.
